What to do in the event of a gas leak

Propane gas has been added to the odor so that you can quickly detect leaks. This is what to do if you smell gas or otherwise suspect that propane is leaking into your home.

In case of signs of leakage

  • Turn off the gas
  • Ventilate thoroughly by opening windows and doors
  • Stop the use of open flames and electrical appliances

In the event of a serious leak and fire

  • Try closing the valves
  • Ensure that all persons are kept at a safe distance from the scene of the fire
  • Call the fire service's emergency number 110
  • Do not attempt to extinguish the fire yourself
