Norway needs a new emergency network. Today's solution works well, but is primarily built for speech. Society and emergency preparedness needs are evolving, and the emergency network of the future must therefore offer more services and be able to be further developed in line with technology.
Norwegian Communications Authority (Nkom) is responsible for developing the new emergency network in close cooperation with DSB, who is responsible for the current emergency network, Nødnett.
